Kerala: In the early hours of Thursday, another unsettling incident unfolded in Kannur as a parked train was deliberately set on fire, merely two months after the notorious Elathur train arson attack. The incident was discovered at approximately 1:25 am when a blaze erupted in a general coach of the Kannur-Alappuzha Executive Express (16306) at Kannur railway station. The station master and on-duty officials promptly alerted the fire brigade, which arrived at the scene and successfully extinguished the flames by around 2:20 am. Thankfully, due to immediate action to detach the other coaches, the fire did not spread to other parts of the train. The express train was originally scheduled to depart at 5:10 am. Unfortunately, one coach of the express fell victim to the fire, being completely consumed by the inferno. The railway police have expressed suspicion regarding the incident. In the meantime, CCTV footage captured moments before the incident sheds light on an unidentified individual boarding the express
