Hyderabad: Dubbaka BJP MLA Raghunandan Rao has been served a legal notice by IRB, an infrastructure company, demanding Rs. 1000 crores in defamation damages. The notice comes in response to allegations made by Raghunandan Rao regarding alleged irregularities in the lease of the Outer Ring Road toll contract by the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) to IRB. Expressing indignation over the allegations, IRB has filed a defamation suit against the MLA and issued legal notices. However, Raghunandan Rao has responded to the defamation claim, stating that he has not yet received the notices, despite hearing about them through news sources. Unfazed by the legal action, he further stated that if not Rs. 1000 crores, he asked them to file a claim of Rs 10 thousand crores against him. He added that he won't be afraid of any notices.
