Hyderabad: IRB Infrastructure Developers Limited, a Mumbai-based management company, has taken legal action against BJP MLA M Raghunandan Rao, issuing a defamation notice worth 1000 crore rupees. The notice comes in response to Rao's reported allegations of corruption against the company regarding a 30-year toll collection contract for the Outer Ring Road (ORR) and his charges that the company was involved in the murder of an RTI activist. The company has demanded compensation of 1000 crore rupees from Rao for damaging their reputation and goodwill through his false and defamatory remarks. Additionally, IRB Infrastructure Developers has called on Rao to publicly withdraw his derogatory statements and issue a public apology to the company and its officials. The company has warned that failure to comply with these demands will result in appropriate civil and criminal proceedings.
