On Wednesday, Bharat Rashtra Samithi leader and MLC K Kavitha performed poojas at the Anjaneyaswamy temple in Kondagattu. She was accompanied by TS planning board vice-chairman B Vinod Kumar, Choppadandi MLA Sunke Ravishankar and others. Kavitha also participated in the Hanuman Chalisa Parayanam, which was organized by the Anjanna Seva Samithi in the temple premises. The Kondagattu temple is an ancient temple in Jagityal district, believed to have existed for more than 500 years, and attracts a large number of pilgrims. The presiding deity, Sri Anjaneya Swamy, is believed to be Swayambhoo as seen from the silasasana available on the external wall of the main temple.
