YSR Telangana Party (YSRTP) President YS Sharmila was arrested on Monday and taken to Jubilee Hills Police Station. She reportedly spent nearly two hours there before being transferred to Banjara Hills Police Station, where a case had been filed against her. In response to the arrest, Sharmila's husband, Anil Kumar, arrived at the Jubilee Hills Police Station to inquire about the incident and complete the necessary legal formalities. According to reports, police officers had blocked Sharmila's vehicle as she was leaving her residence at Lotus Pond, leading to a confrontation between the politician and the police. Sharmila questioned why she was being prevented from carrying out her work and a heated argument ensued. In protest against the police action, she allegedly sat down in the middle of the road.
