Asaduddin Owaisi, the president of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen and Hyderabad MP, has strongly criticized the Telangana police for their inaction against those who publicly displayed Nathuram Godse's portrait during the recent Ram Navami rally in Hyderabad. Owaisi pointed out that Godse, who assassinated Mahatma Gandhi, was India's first terrorist, yet some individuals were seen flaunting his photo in public. The Hyderabad MP questioned the police's silence and asked why they did not take action against these individuals, suggesting that the police would have reacted differently had it been a photo of Osama Bin Laden. Owaisi's statements were made during a mosque program in Shaikpet.
