Actor Salman Khan's security measures were intensified after receiving a threat from gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and his associates. The threat came as a result of Khan's involvement in the poaching of a Blackbuck during the filming of his movie "Hum Saath Saath Hain" in 1998. The Blackbuck is considered sacred by Lawrence's community members. However, recent reports suggest that Salman Khan has purchased a brand new bulletproof Nissan Patrol SUV to enhance his security. The actor was seen travelling in his bulletproof SUV in Mumbai accompanied by his personal protection and local police. The Nissan Patrol is a highly popular vehicle in the Southeast Asian market and is also the most expensive SUV produced by Nissan. As it is not available in India, it is believed that Khan may have privately imported the vehicle. The Nissan Patrol is known for its toughness and is considered the best option for bulletproofing.
