Madhya Pradesh: Recently, a male cheetah named Ovan escaped from Kuno National Park, but officials were able to capture and bring him back. Now, a female cheetah named Asha has also escaped from the same park in Madhya Pradesh and triggered panic among the surrounding villagers. According to official sources, Asha has been spotted in the buffer zone of Kuno National Park for the last two to three days. She has been shuttling between the reserve zone and buffer zone, and is often seen near riverbanks. Despite concerns among villagers about the presence of the big cats, Forest Department officials have assured them that cheetahs are unlikely to pose a threat to humans, as they do not prey on them and usually avoid human contact.
