The recent attack on the house of BS Yediyurappa, former Chief Minister and senior BJP leader of Karnataka, is a distressing incident that highlights the unjust treatment faced by the party in the state government's internal reservations. The people of Banjara took to the streets and vandalized Yediyurappa's house in Shikaripura, causing severe damage to the building and its surroundings. Hundreds of stones and sticks were hurled, causing mirrors to shatter and tyres to catch fire. Even nearby Modi flexes were destroyed, and slogans were raised against the ruling government and the BJP. Thankfully, no one was present inside the house at the time, and the police responded quickly to the situation by lathicharging the agitators and dispersing them.
