Kurnool: Panic gripped residents of Kurnool district as earthquake tremors were felt in the area on Monday. According to reports, the tremors were felt in Ratana, located in Thuggali mandal of the district. People rushed out of their houses in fear after experiencing the tremors. It is learnt that 12 houses in the village were damaged due to the earthquake, and cement roads in many places were also affected. Local MLA Sridevi (YSRCP MLA Sridevi) and senior officials visited the affected area to assess the damage. The authorities are still investigating the extent of the damage caused by the earthquake. It is unclear how severe the earthquake was, as the Richter scale measurement has not been announced yet. The authorities are asking locals about the areas where houses have cracked to assess the damage. Fortunately, there were no reports of loss of life or property.
