Kakinada: Vrupula Raja, the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader of Prattipadu constituency in Kakinada district, passed away due to a heart attack. He was 47 years old. According to sources, Raja suffered the heart attack at around 9 PM and was immediately rushed to Surya Global Hospital in Kakinada. As his condition worsened, he was shifted to the Apollo Hospital in the area. Unfortunately, he passed away at 11 PM while undergoing treatment. This is not the first time Raja had a heart attack, as he had suffered one five years ago and underwent a stent procedure. Despite undergoing regular medical tests, he was still actively campaigning for the upcoming MLC elections. Raja had a strong political career, starting as the President of Prathipadu Mandal and later working as the Chairman of DCCB and Vice Chairman of APCOB. In the 2019 elections, he contested as a TDP candidate from Prathipadu constituency and lost by a narrow margin of votes. The
