Nandamuri Tarakaratna, a well-known actor turned politician, passed away on Feb 18, after suffering a cardiac arrest during Telugu Desam Party (TDP) national general secretary and former minister Nara Lokesh's padayatra at Kuppam in Chittoor district. The actor was undergoing treatment at Narayana Hrudayalaya in Bengaluru for 23 days before he passed away. The news of his demise has shocked the Telugu film industry and many celebrities have come forward to pay their condolences. His body has been shifted to Hyderabad, and tributes are being paid at his home in Mokila in Ranga Reddy district. YSR Telangana Party chief YS Sharmila was one of the people who paid tribute to Tarakaratna's body. She consoled the family members and reached Tarakaratna's residence in Mokila by car from her Lotus Pond residence. She was accompanied by party leaders Pitta Ramreddy and others at the time.
