Despite her lack of direct involvement in cricket, Mirza is a widely acclaimed figure in the world of Indian sports and has inspired many with her achievements on and off the field. Mirza, who played her last Grand Slam match at the Australian Open 2023 last month, is thrilled and 'excited' to take on this new role in her life. Interestingly, the only connection that the tennis great has with cricket is her marriage to former Pakistan men's team captain Shoaib Malik. Despite her busy schedule, Mirza is yet to retire from tennis and is set to play her final tournament at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships with Madison Keys.
