In a night-long operation, Indian Army personnel successfully airlifted a pregnant woman in critical condition from the snow-covered region of Tangdhar in the Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir. The woman had been admitted to a sub-district hospital in Tangdhar on Saturday evening but later developed severe complications, requiring her to be transferred for advanced treatment to mainland Kupwara. A vehicle was initially arranged for evacuation, but due to the critical condition of the patient, a chopper was subsequently arranged for the airlift at the direction of the Deputy Commissioner, Sagar. The woman was safely transported to mainland Kupwara for further treatment.
