Tirupati: Every corner of the Telugu states is decked up to celebrate Sankranti on a grand note and people from other states are making a beeline to their native places to enjoy the festival. Andhra Pradesh Tourism Minister RK Roja participated in the Sankranti festival celebrations held at the Police parade grounds in Tirupati. Minister Roja and police officials appeared in traditional outfits. According to the sources, Minster Roja and Tirupati SP Parameswar Reddy indulged in cock fights (without using knives). DGP said that strict action will take against those who indulge in cock fighting and Jallikattu.
