Visakhapatnam: Tension escalated at Visakhapatnam Gitam University after revenue officials reached the college to seize the ground after orders from the state government. A heavy police force was deployed at the Gitam College and all the routes to the Geetam college are closed. According to the reports, the YS Jagan-led government gave orders to demolish the constructions in the Gitam College and the revenue officials along with the police officials reached the college to seize the college ground. Police are providing security under the supervision of a DCP level officer. The police closed the roads towards Yendada and Rishikonda and the police also not allowing the media to reach the Gitam College.
