The world's shortest man record has been broken by a 20-year-old Iranian who measures 65.24 cm (2 feet 1.6 inches), over 7 centimetres shorter than the previous record holder. Afshin Esmaeil Ghaderzadeh was born on July 13, 2002, in a rural area in Bukan County, West Azerbaijan Province, Iran. Ghaderzadeh recently took his first flight away from his home in Iran and travelled to Dubai with his parents to visit the Guinness World Records office to confirm the record. Ghaderzadeh went to Dubai's Burj Khalifa, the tallest structure on earth. He had to receive tutoring at home as a child because his neighbourhood school wouldn't teach him.
