The issue of film music videos and reels being made in the Mahakal temple complex in Ujjain has gained traction. The girls may be seen in this video dancing and creating short videos both outside the temple and inside the sanctum sanctorum. According to temple authorities, despite cell phone bans and selfie bans, incidences of making such recordings in Mahakal temple keep cropping up. They argued that the Mahakal.temple's reputation was being tarnished by the social media posts. The two women connected to the temple's security wing reportedly had their employment suspended.
