Officials from the Enforcement Directorate (ED) have stepped up their investigations into alleged financial misuse in Telugu states. On Friday, the ED searched the NRI Hospital in Mangalagiri. The ED staff has been reviewing the hospital's records as part of this. A few teams have been formed to check the records. Additionally, ED is searching the residences of NRI hospital committee members. The allegations that Akkineni Mani, a member of the NRI committee, specifically supervising the treasury section for some years, purchased medical equipment for her own hospital with NRI funds are the subject of these investigations. The board members, who disagreed with them, made this allegation. Additionally, it was claimed that some of these hospitals' directors may have neglected to keep accurate records or used NRI money for their own company during the Covid turbulent times.
