Gunathilaka, a player for the ICC T20 World Cup team, allegedly sexually assaulted a lady in Sydney's eastern suburbs before being charged, according to the reports. A 29-year-old woman who was allegedly sexually assaulted by Gunathilaka earlier this week in Rose Bay was reportedly detained on Sunday morning, according to a Sydney Morning Herald media story. He was denied bail and will shortly appear in court in Parramatta. The report claims that before their in-person meeting, Gunathilaka communicated with a woman via an online dating app for a few days.
