Following the presentation of the Arumughaswamy Commission's findings to the state assembly earlier this week, a leaked audio tape purported to be of former Tamil Nadu chief minister Jayalalithaa went viral. In the tape, Jayalalitha can be heard becoming agitated, coughing up air, and moaning while a staff worker tries to record data. In a similar manner, a video of doctor Richard Beale from 2017 after his press conference in Chennai has also gained prominence. In the video, Richard Beale can be heard saying that the first balance was difficult. Sasikala questioned whether Jayalalithaa needed to travel overseas. They agreed when the doctor told she had to leave. Later on however, Jayalalithaa decided against receiving medical treatment abroad.
