The Congress has accelerated its campaign against the opposition candidates who are running in the Munugode By-election. As part of it, Manickam Tagore, the incharge of the Telangana Congress, has taken a harsh stance against former Congress MLA Komatireddy Rajgopal Reddy, who is now contesting on the BJP ticket. Manickam Tagore referred to Gopal Reddy in a tweet as "Bogu Gopal" and claimed that Rajgopal Reddy was exposed because he received a coal contract for Rs 18,000 crore, and there is no doubt as to why he joined the BJP. He claimed that from the first week of August, INC has been making these claims.
