Prudhviraj Balireddy, a Tollywood actor, was ordered by the Family Court in Vijayawada to pay his wife Rs 8 lakh per month in maintenance. In 1984, the actor, a native of Tadepalligudem in the West Godavari district, wed Srilakshmi of Vijayawada. The couple was fortunate to have a son and a daughter. On January 10, 2017, Srilakshmi filed a case with the family court after the actor demanded that she end their relationship and leave his home on April 5, 2016. She claimed in the plea that after their marriage, Prudhviraj used to remain with her at their in-home law's in Vijayawada. She said, "Whenever actor used to go to Chennai from Vijayawada to act in movies, my parents bore all his travel expenses. According to the lawyer of the victim, his wife requested maintenance on a monthly basis because her spouse makes Rs 30 lakhs per month acting in movies and TV shows.
