The actor portrays Dr. Uday Gupta, a man who initially intended to be an orthodontist but ended up becoming a gynaecologist, a field thought to be better suited to women. The hurdles that Ayushmann's character faces in becoming a successful doctor are handled in the trailer with amusing results. Important lead female characters in the movie are Shefali Shah and Rakul Preet Singh. The movie, which is being directed by Anubhuti Kashyap, is scheduled to premiere on October 14.
