HYDERABAD: The popular Balapur Ganesh Laddu which grabs the attention of both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana was auctioned for Rs 24.60 lakh and it is an all-time record. Lakshma Reddy, a member of the Ganesh Utsav committee bagged the laddu and he signed on the bond paper assuring that he will give the money during the next year's auction. The weight of Balapu Ganesh laddy is 21 kg and this year it fetched Rs 5.70 lakh more than the previous year's auction. Last year the Balapur Laddu was auctioned for Rs Rs 18.90 lakh. Hundreds of devotees and ministers thronged Balapur to witness the Balapur Laddu auction event.
