Leaders of the Telugudesam party protested on Thursday at the Patamata Police Station in Vijayawada, claiming that the police were only a bystander in the alleged attack on TDP leader Chennupati Gandhi. They have criticised the police for failing to provide the court with Gandhi's injury report before submitting a remand report. At the police station, they burnt copies of the FIR. The TDP leaders started a walkathon march earlier in the day from the TDP office in Vijayawada to the Patamata Police Station.
