On Tuesday, the Telangana High Court's six new judges took the oath of office. At a ceremony held at the High Court, Chief Justice Ujjal Bhuyan gave the oath to the new judges. The oath was taken by J. Srinivas Rao, N. Rajeswar Rao, Pulla Karthik, Kaja Sarath, E.V. Venugopal, and Nagesh Bheemapaka. As a result, the high court now has 34 judges overall in addition to two more judges, up from the sanctioned posts of 42. The Union government announced the new judges for the Telangana High Court in a notification on August 12 following the Presidential assent.
