YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, launched the YSR Yantra Seva Scheme on Tuesday and kicked off the distributing of tractors and combine harvesters at the Chuttugunta Centre in Guntur district. According to the chief minister, 3,800 tractors and 320 combine harvesters will be available at Rythu Bharosa Centres (RBKs). He transferred Rs 175 crore in subsidies to 5,260 farmer group bank accounts using direct benefit transfer (DBT). The State government, led by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, is offering a 40% subsidy and loans for 50% of the machinery cost, with the farmer's group covering the remaining 10%. According to a release, approximately 10,750 YSR Yantra Seva Centres would be established at each RBK level at a cost of Rs 2,016 crore, and 1,615 harvesters would be made available at cluster level where paddy agriculture was more prevalent.
