At the Civil Investiture ceremony II, President Ram Nath Kovind bestowed the Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan, and Padma Shri Awards for the year 2022. This year, 128 Padma Awards were given out. Padma Vibhushan was presented to classical singer Prabha Atre and former Uttar Pradesh chief minister Kalyan Singh (posthumous); actor Victor Banerjee, scientist Sanjaya Rajaram (posthumous), author Pratibha Ray, and Sanskrit scholar Acharya Vashishtha Tripathi were among those who received Padma Awards 2022 on Monday. The Vice President of India, the Prime Minister, and the Union Minister for Home Affairs were among the dignitaries in attendance.
