The Karnataka High Court approved the filing of proceedings against a man suspected of r*ping his wife. The court stated that the institution of marriage did not allow for any particular masculine privilege. In her complaint, the woman also stated that her husband se*ually molested their daughter. As a result, the court determined that all accusations against the husband, including those brought under relevant parts of the Protection of Children from Se*ual Offenses (POCSO) Act, will not be dismissed. A terrible act of se*ual attack on the woman, even if committed by the husband, can only be described as a r*pe. According to the court, such se*ual assault by a husband on his wife has serious ramifications for the wife's mental health, as it has both psychological and physiological effects on her.
