Rajahmundrym July 14: The kin of the stampede victims gheraoed Health Minister Kamineni Srinivas when the latter went to call on the injured at government hospital in Rajahmundry.
The relatives pulled up the Minister for not making necessary arrangements for devotees attending the Pushkaralu.
The devotees alleged that the Ministers were giving more priority for press meets rather than addressing the problems of the devotees. Tension prevailed for a while as police prevented the aggrieved relatives from stopping the Minister.
The relatives and police shoved each other.
Earlier in the day, opposition parties’ activists staged a dharna in front of the hospital and refused to allow the Minister into the hospital.
