Carrot Polylu


1.Carrot grated 1 cup
2.Sugar 1/4 cup
3.Wheat flour 1 cup
4.Ghee 4 tbsp
5.Cardamom powder 1 tbsp
6.Salt a pinch
7.Cashew nut powder 1/4 cup


1.Take a bowl add wheat flour,salt and mix well with water.Prepare a smooth dough.
2.Meanwhile heat some ghee in a pan,add carrot and saute till raw smell goes off.
3.Add sugar,cardamom powder and saute for few minutes till sugar melts,switch off the stove and rest aside for few minutes.Add cashew nut powder and mix well in carrot mixture.
4.Now divide the dough into equal portions,press the dough ball into a small puri and stuff carrot mixture,wrap around the edges and remove excess dough.
5.Heat a skillet and place the poli,cook on both sides evenly by drizzling some ghee.Cook till brown spots appear on both sides.Serve hot.
