Oats Pongal

Oats Pongal


1.Oats 1 cup
2.Moong dal 1 cup
3.Chana dal 1 tbsp
4.Peanuts 1 tbsp
5.Cashew nuts
6.Ghee 2 tbsp
7.Cumin powder 1 tbsp
8.Ginger chopped 1 tbsp
9.Pepper powder 1/2 tbsp
10.Green chillies 3
11.Curry leaves
12.Salt to taste


1.Heat some ghee in a pan,add moong dal paste,some water and b=ring it to boil.
2.Meanwhile fry oats with some ghee and transfer into moong dal mixture.Add some salt and mix well.
3.Add 2 cups of water to 1 cup oats and bring it to boil for few minutes.
4.Meanwhile take another pan heat some oil,add green chillies,ginger,chana dal,peanuts,cashew nuts and fry till nice golden brown colour.
5.Sprinkle some cumin powder,pepper powder,curry leaves,coriander leaves and saute for a minute.Pour tempering on top of oats mixture and give it a good mix.Serve hot.
