Tamarind rice


1.Rice cooked
2.Chana dal
3.Red chilli powder
4.Green chillies chopped
5.Coriander powder
6.Cumin powder
7.Curry leaves
8.Fenugreek seeds
10.Mustard seeds
13.Dried red chillies
14.Sesame seeds powder
15.Tamarind juice
16.Turmeric powder


1.Heat some oil in a pan,add red chillies and fry for few seconds.
2.Add mustard seeds,fenugreek seeds and when they start spluttering add chana dal,peanuts.Cook on medium flame.
3.Add the curry leaves,chopped green chillies and hing.
Then add the turmeric,tamarind juice,red chilli powder,coriander powder,cumin powder and mix well.
4.Cook for 10-12 minutes,now add sesame seeds powder and cook for another 15 minutes.
5.Cook till gravy thicken,now add tamarind gravy to cooked rice and mix well.Serve hot.
