Dahi Vada (South Indian)


1.Urad dal
2.Cumin seeds
3.Curry leaves
5.Coriander leaves
6.Green chillies
9.Red chilli powder
10.Salt to taste


1.Wash and soak urad dal overnight,grind into a smooth paste.
2.Add some salt to the batter and mix well.
3.Heat sufficient oil in a pan,prepare vadas and drop them in hot oil and deep fry till nice golden colour and crisp.
4.Now soak vadas in cold water for 2-3 minutes.
5.Now take them out and remove excess water.
6.For curd add green chillies,cumin seeds,coriander leaves.
7.Pour curd on soaked vadas,prepare tempering by adding dried red chillies,cumin seeds,mustard seeds,hing,urad dal,curry leaves and saute for few seconds.Pour tempering on vadas and serve.
