1.Besan flour
4.Cumin seeds
6.Whole red chillies
7.Baking soda
8.Kalonji (Onion seeds)
9.Fenugreek seeds
10.Red chilli powder
11.Mustard seeds
12.Onion chopped
13.Oil for frying
14.Salt to taste


1.Take a 1 cup of buttermilk,combine red chilli powder,potatoes,onions,salt,baking soda,coriander seeds roughly crushed,cumin seeds,green chillies,besan flour and mix well.
2.Prepare pakoda batter,meanwhile heat sufficient oil for deep frying.
3.Slowly drop the mixture in hot oil like pakodas and deep fry till nice golden colour and crisp.Fry evenly and set aside.
4.Meanwhile dissolve besan flour in buttermilk without any lumps.
5.Heat some ghee in a pan,add dried red chillies,fenugreek seeds,cumin,mustard seeds,hing,curry leaves,turmeric powder and saute for few seconds.
6.Pour buttermilk mixture,add salt,red chilli powder,some water and cook on medium flame for few minutes.
7.Add fried pakodas,cook for few minutes on medium flame,add coriander leaves and serve hot.
