Gun Powder (Milaga podi)


1.Chana dal
2.Curry leaves
4.Pepper corns
5.Red chillies
7.Urad dal


1. Dry roast red chillies till they are cooked well.
2.Add rice and chana dal and fry for few minutes,add whole pepper corns,urad dal and fry for few seconds.
3.Cook on medium flame till nice golden colour,add hing,curry leaves and mix well.
4.Switch off the flame but continue to stir,allow it cool down to blend.After done blend well into a coarse powder and add some salt before serving.
