Kanda Fry


1.Yam (Kanda)
2.Green chillies
3.Coconut powder
4.Coriander leaves
5.Coriander powder
6.Cumin seeds
7.Curry leaves
8.Ginger garlic paste
10.Mustard seeds
13.Poppy seeds
14.Red chilli powder
15.Turmeric powder


1.Heat some oil in a pan,add cumin,mustard seeds when they sputter,add green chillies,curry leaves,onions,salt and saute till nice golden brown colour.
2.Add turmeric powder,ginger garlic paste and mix well.Add poppy seeds powder,coriander powder,coconut powder,red chilli powder and mix well,add some water and cook for a minute.
3.Add kanda pieces and coat well the masalas,flip in between gently.Cook for 10 minutes on slow flame till done.Finally sprinkle some garam masala powder,chopped coriander leaves,squeeze some lemon juice.Serve hot.
