3.Red chilli powder
6.Coriander leaves
7.Coriander seeds
8.Curry leaves
9.Fresh coconut
10.Fried cashew nuts
11.Ghee or oil
12.Ginger garlic paste
13.Green chillies
14.Lemon juice
15.Pudina leaves
16.Onions sliced
17.Poppy seeds
18.Salt to taste
19.Turmeric powder


1.Take chicken in a bowl,add salt,red chilli powder,curd,mint leaves,curry leaves and mix well.Keep aside for 1 hr.
2.Dry roast poppy seeds,cinnamon,cloves,cardamom for few minutes till nice aroma,blend the mixture into a smooth powder to this add coconut pieces and blend once again.Prepare a fine paste.
3.Heat some oil in a pan,add garam masala dry,onions,salt and saute for a minute.
4.Add ginger garlic paste and saute till raw flavor is all gone.Add green chillies,curry leaves,ground poppy seeds paste and mix well.
5.Sprinkle some coriander powder and give it a mix,cook till mixture releases oil.
6.Now add marinated chicken and mix well,cover and cook for few minutes.Add soaked basmati rice and layer on top of chicken.
7.Cover and cook for 5 minutes,now add 1 cup of water and give it a good mix.Add fried cashews,coriander leaves.Cover and cook for 20 minutes till done.Sprinkle some lemon juice and mix well and serve hot.
