Kothimbir Vadi - Maharastrian snack


1.Besan flour
2.Coriander leaves
3.Cumin seeds
5.Cumin seeds
6.Garam masala powder
7.Garlic cloves
10.Cumin powder
11.Mustard seeds
12.Oil for deep frying
13.Roasted peanut powder
14.Salt to taste


1.Prepare a smooth batter with besan flour without any lumps.
2.Heat some oil iin a pan,add cumin,mustard seeds,ajwain,crushed garlic,ginger,green chillies and saute for few minutes.
3.Add pinch of hing,turmeric,cumin powder,garam masala powder and mix it well.
4.Pour besan batter to the frying pan and mix well without any lumps,add coriander leaves,roasted peanut powder and mix well.
5.Add some oil and mix well,switch off the flame.Remove the dough mixture onto a oil greased plate and spread it into a thick layer.
6.Rest aside to cool down,cut into desired shapes and deep fry till nic golden brown colour and crisp.Serve hot.
