Meat Ball Dalcha


1.Mutton mice and bones
2.Chana dal
3.Pigeon peas (Toor dal)
4.Green gram
9.Fennel seeds
11.Garlic cloves
12.Pepper corns
13.Bay leaves
14.Coriander leaves
15.Green chillies
16.Garam masala powder
19.Salt to taste
20.Turmeric powder
21.Spinach leaves
22.Coriander leaves
23.Lemon juice


1.Heat some oil in a pressure pan,add cinnamon,cloves,cardamom,fennel seeds and saute till nice aroma.
2.Add onions,garlic and saute toll onions are light brown colour.
3.Now blend remaining cinnamon,cloves,cardamom,pepper,bay leaves,fennel seeds into a fine powder.
4.Grind half browned onion,green chillies,coriander leaves,garam masala powder,pudina leaves,mutton mince into a fine mixture.
5.Meanwhile heat some oil in a non stick pan,add onions,mutton bones and saute till nice golden colour,cook on high heat.
6.Add salt,ginger and mix well.Add turmeric powder,bengal gram,toor dal and mix well.Add remaining garam masala powder,4 cups of water and mix well.Cover and cook for 4-5 whistles.
7.Remove from heat and discard the bones.Add salt,mince meat and mix well.Divide the mixture into equal portions and prepare small balls.
8.Place the dal back on heat and add mince meat balls and pressure cook for 1-2 whistles.
9.Add spinach leaves and cook for another 1-2 whistles,garnish with coriander leaves and squeeze some lemon juice.Serve hot.
