Veggi Trimmings Chutney


1.Sorakaya (Bottle gourd) sliced and skin peeled
3.Mustard seeds
4.Urad dal
5.Cumin seeds
6.Dried red chillies
7.Curry leaves
8.Garlic cloves
9.Green chillies
12.Turmeric powder
13.Salt to taste
14.Sugar a pinch


1.Heat some oil in a pan add tempering seeds,dried red chillies,curry leaves and saute for a minute till it turns into nice golden colour.Keep aside the mixture.
2.In the same pan add garlic,green chillies,tamarind,hing,turmeric and saute for a minute till garlic turns into light brown colour.
3.Add sorakaya pieces and skin peeled to the frying pan,fry for few minutes by covering a lid.
4.Keep stirring in between and mix well,cook till soft and tender.Rest aside the mixture to cool down.
5.Blend into a smooth paste and finally add tempering mixture and mix well.Serve with drizzled hot rice.
