Cluster Beans with Chana dal


1.Goruchikkudukaya (Cluster Beans)
2.Chana dal
3.Dried red chillies
4.Curry leaves
5.Mustard seeds
6.Onion chopped
7.Curry leaves
9.Turmeric powder
10.Green chillies
11.Salt to taste
12.Asafoetida (Hing)


1.Firstly soak chana dal,curry leaves,dried red chillies in water for 2 hours and blend into a coarse paste
2.Take a pressure pan pour some oil and heat it,add in mustard seeds,onion chopped,curry leaves and saute till onions are translucent.
3.Add hing,turmeric powder,green chillies chopped,cluster beans chopped and mix well,cook for few minutes.
4.Add salt to taste and saute for another 2 minutes,enough water required to cook cluster beans,add in ground chana dal paste and spread it cover it with a lid.
5.Simmer the heat and cook without whistle sound for around 10 minutes,after done let the pressure cooker release by itself.
6.Crush the lentils with spatula or wooden ladle and give it a good stir.Serve hot.
