Chicken in Yogurt Curry


4.Turmeric powder
5.Salt to taste
7.Garlic chopped
8.Onion paste 1 1/2 tbsp + brown onion paste
9.Ginger powder
10.Fennel powder
11.Red chilli powder
12.Hing or asafoetida
13.Cumin powder
14.Coriander powder
16.Chicken stock
17.Coriander leaves
18.Saffron strands few


1.Boil the chicken in water mixed with whole spices (cardamom,cloves) turmeric powder,salt.Cook until 80% done.
take another pan add in butter and melt it.Add chopped ginger,onion
paste,pinch of salt and saute till raw flavor is all gone.
3.Take a
small bowl add in ginger powder,fennel powder,red chilli
powder,hing,cumin powder,coriander powder and mix well with little
amount of water,prepare a smooth paste.
4.Add masala paste to frying mixture and mix well,cook until oil oozes out from the mixture.
5.Now simmer the heat and add in whisked curd 1 cup and mix well and cook on high flame.
brown onion paste and give it a stir,cook for few minutes.Add salt to
taste,par boiled chicken and mix well evenly so that all masalas coat
the chicken very well.
7.Add chicken stock as we needed,cover and
cook for 4-5 minutes,remove the lid and add finely chopped coriander
leaves,saffron strands water.Give it a good stir.Serve hot with
garnished ginger juliennes.
