Pesarattu Mukkala Curry


1.Moong dal
2.Green chillies
3.Tomatoes chopped
4.Onion chopped
5.Garlic cloves
6.Mustard seeds
7.Cumin seeds
8.Coriander powder
9.Coriander leaves
10.Curry leaves
11.Salt to taste
12.Red chilli powder
13.Turmeric powder


1.Pesarattu batter preparation:Soak over nite pesalu/moong dal and grind with garlic cloves,green chillies and salt into a thick batter.
2.Heat a flat non stick pan,add scoop full of batter and spread evenly into a thick layer.
3.Drizzle some oil around dosa and cook on both the sides evenly till its done.
4.Now take another pan pour 4tbsp oil and heat it.
5.Add cumin seeds,mustard seeds,onion chopped 1 cup,ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp,pinch of turmeric powder,tomatoes chopped 1 cup and saute for few minutes.
6.Add salt to taste,red chillli powder 1/2 tbsp and give it a mix.
7.Cut pesarattu into small pieces with a knife and give it a good mix.Cook on medium flame.
8.Sprinkle some coriander powder,coriander leaves and give it a fine stir.Transfer into a bowl,garnish with curry leaves,coriander leaves.Serve hot.
