Usiri Pongali


1.Usirikaya grated 1/2 cup
2.Rice 1 cup cooked
3.Moong dal 1 cup
4.Pepper corns 1 tbsp
5.Cumin seeds 1 tbsp
6.Curry leaves
7.Salt to taste
8.Ghee 2 tbsp
9.Ginger chopped 1 tbsp
10.Fried cashews


1.Take a pan pour 2 tbsp ghee and melt it.
2.Add cumin seeds,pepper corns,ginger chopped,usirikaya grated and saute for few minutes.
3.Add curry leaves,cooked moong dal,rice,salt to taste and give it a good stir.
4.Mix well evenly by adding some water as we needed.Off the stove and transfer into a plate,garnish with fried cashews.Serve [email protected]@!!
