Chettinad Chicken


1.Chicken leg pieces 4
2.Pepper corns
3.Coriander powder
4.Garam masala powder
5.Green chillies 2-3
6.Onion chopped 1 cup
7.Curry leaves
8.Coriander leaves
10.Coconut grated
11.Cinnamon stick
14.Dry red chillies 2
15.Ginger garlic paste 1 1/2 tbsp
16.Salt to taste
17.Red chilli powder 2 tbsp
18.Turmeric powder 1 tbsp


1.Take a pan add 4-5 tbsp oil,heat it.
2.Add pepper corns,onions chopped,green chillies and saute.Add dry red chillies,little amount of salt so that onions cook faster.
3.Add ginger garlic paste 1 1/2 tbsp,turmeric powder and cook for 2 minutes till dry.
4.Add chicken leg pieces and mix well.
5.Cover and cook for 5 minutes.
6.Chettinad paste (Cloves,bay leaf,tomatoes,coconut,cinnamon stick,cardamoms,dry red chillies,pepper corns)
7.Add red chilli powder,turmeric powder,salt and give it a mix evenly.Cover and cook for another 5 minutes.
8.Add chettinad paste and mix well by adding little amount of water.Cover and cook for another 2 minutes till flavors induces in chicken.
9.Finally add garam masala powder,coriander powder and give it a fine mix.
10.Transfer into a bowl and serve hot..!!!
