Beerakaya Tomato Curry

Beerakaya Tomato Curry


1.Beerakaya chopped 1/4 kilo
2.Tomatoes chopped 3
3.Chana dal soaked 1/4 cup
4.Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
5.Curry leaves
6.Green chillies 3
7.Salt to taste
8.Red chilli powder
9.Turmeric powder a pinch
10.Coriander powder 1 tbsp
11.Mustard seeds 1/2 tbsp
12.Cumin seeds 1/2 tbsp
13.Coriander leaves
14.Oil 2 tbsp


1.Take a pan pour some oil,add mustard seeds,cumin seeds,green chillies and saute.
2.Add curry leaves,ginger garlic paste and saute.
3.Add finely chopped beerakaya and give it a good mix till its done.
4.Add tomatoes,soaked chana dal and mix well evenly.
5.Add salt,red chilli powder,turmeric powder and mix,add little amount of water.
6.Cover and cook for 2-3 minutes till water evaporates.
7.Add coriander powder and coriander leaves.Transfer into a bowl and garnish with coriander leaves.
