Barley Uthappam


1.Barley seeds powder 1 cup
2.Curd 1 cup whisked (Sour preferably)
3.Wheat flour 2 tbsp
4.Oil 2 tbsp
5.Water as we needed to prepare batter
6.Salt to taste
7.Cumin seeds 1/2 tbsp
8.Green chillies chopped 2
9.Coriander leaves
10.Ginger chopped 1/2 tbsp


1.Take a bowl pour 1 cup curd and whisk it,add barley powder,wheat flour and salt and mix well.
2.Add water as we needed for batter consistency.
3.Take a dosa pan/skillet drizzle some few drops of oil,add small portion of batter in middle,sprinkle cumin seeds,ginger chopped,coriander leaves on top batter.
4.Cook on medium flame till the uthappam cooks completely by turning on both the sides.
5.Serve immediately after cooking with chutney or pickle..!!
