Aratikaya Perugu Garelu


1.Aratikaya boiled and peeled 2
2.Besan flour 2 tbsp
3.Curd 1/2 cup
4.Onions chopped 1
5.Green chillies finely chopped 2
6.Ginger finely chopped 1/2 tbsp
7.Salt to taste
8.Tempering seeds 1 tbsp
9.Dry red chillies 2
10.Curry leaves
11.Oil for deep frying
12.Turmeric powder a pinch


1.Firstly take a pan pour oil for deep frying,heat it.
2.Take a bowl add mashed raw banana boiled,green chillies,onions,ginger,salt,besan flour.Mix all the ingredients evenly.Prepare a dough.
3.Now take a small portion of dough on your palsm and press them like gaarelu (small size)
4.Slowly drop into hot oil and deep fry them till golden brown.
5.Take a bowl add whisked curd (yogurt) add water to the curd,add salt and mix well.The consistency of the curd should be water.
6.Take a pan pour oil for tempering,add dry red chillies,tempering seeds,curry leaves,turmeric powder a pinch.Saute this mixture for few seconds and mix with the curd.
7.Finally drain the oil from gaarelu and submerge them in curd..Serve it after 5-10 minutes so that gaarelu will absorb curd.
